Dachshund

Dachshund berasal dari bahasa Jerman yang artinya Dachs (berang-berang) dan Hund (anjing), anjing berang-berang. Di negera asalnya mereka memang digunakan untuk berburu berang-berang. Selain nama tersebut, anjing berkaki pendek dan berbadan panjang ini dipanggil juga Dackel atau Teckel. Di Indonesia, anjing ini dikenal sebagai Tekel. Pada tahun 1972, anjing ini diabadikan menjadi maskot Olimpiade Musim Panas di Munich, Jerman dan diberi nama Waldi.

Dachshund comes from Germany, which means Dachs (beaver) and Hund (dog), or dog otter. In their home countries they are used to hunt otters. Besides the name, short-legged dogs with long bodies, also called Dackel or Teckel. In Indonesia, this kind of  dog is known as Tekel. In 1972, this breed has become the mascot of the Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany and named Waldi.

Pomelo

Pernah mendengar buah pomelo atau Citrus maxima? Dari namanya terdengarr asing ya. Tapi kalau disebut buah ini adalah jeruk Bali. Nah baru tahu ya kalau buah pomelo ternyata sering kita jumpai tumbuh berbuah subur di halaman rumah orang (lho?). Jeruk raksasa ini telah menginspirasi sebuah perusahaan produsen barang dari compound plastic. Seperti holder untuk handphone. Mereka mengusung merek Pomelo untuk produknya. Kenapa mereka memilih nama buah untuk logo? Salah satu alasan mungkin mereka ingin seperti produk Apple.

Ever heard of pomelo or Citrus maxima? His name sounded strange. But if this is called Jeruk Bali. we often encounter fruit pomelo grows abundantly in the home garden. This giant orange  has inspired a manufacturer of goods from plastic compound. As holder for mobile phones. They carry the brand to its product Pomelo. Why did they choose the name of the fruit for a logo? One reason may be they want to like Apple products.
